About Anicia
Anicia is a 31 year old, Cuban, married female who has no preference in the family she will carry for. Anicia lives in Simpsonville, South Carolina with her husband, Mason, and their two children.
Anicia is 5’1” and weighs 175 pounds and has a BMI of 33.1. She speaks English and Spanish. Anicia was born in Cuba but is a US Citizen. Anicia describes herself as a homebody and a mix of outgoing and shy. She said that she likes crafting with yarn, golfing, traveling and park but her favorite thing to do is be with her children.
Anicia has insurance through her husband's place of employment. It will be sent off for review to see if it is surrogacy friendly.
Anicia works for Prisma Health as a recruiter. She works from home and works 40 hours a week. She makes $87,000 a year. Mason is an Operations Project Analyst with Prisma Health. He makes $95,000 a year.
Anicia graduated from Kings Mountain High School in 2010. She later attended Appalachian State University where she received a Bachelors in Psychology. She completed her Masters Degree in Human Resources in 2018 from Western Carolina.
Anicia has never been a surrogate and has never donated eggs. Anicia’s sister is also with Await Surrogacy for her first journey. Anicia and her sister came to Await via a mutual friend. Anicia has had two pregnancies and has never had an abortion or a miscarriage. Anicia has never placed a child for adoption and does not have any deceased children. Her first child, a daughter, was born on December 19, 2020. She was born at 38 weeks 5 days and weighed 7 pounds. Her second child, a son, was born on November 26, 2023. He was born at 39 weeks and weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces. Anicia and Mason have custody of both of their children. Her children are healthy. Anicia is currently not breastfeeding. She has never gone through fertility treatments to become pregnant.
Anicia does have regular menstrual cycles that last for 3-5 days. Anicia states that her mother did not take diethylstilbestrol (DES) while pregnant with her to the best of her knowledge.
Anicia’s last pap smear was done in 2023 and was normal. Anicia has never had an abnormal pap smear. She has never been treated for HIV/AIDS. Anicia has never suffered from depression. She has seen a psychologist for a shopping problem. Anicia had eye surgery as a child.
Anicia does not smoke cigarettes or vape. Jose has the occasional cigar but outside in his “man cave” and never around Anicia. Anicia denies any drug use. Anicia does drink alcohol occasionally but never during pregnancy. Anicia has never used any illegal drugs. Anicia has never been diagnosed with any of the following: hepatitis C, HIV, hepatitis B, herpes, genital warts/sores, HPV, HSV, syphilis, gonorrhea or chlamydia.
Anicia nor Mason have any legal claims/cases pending at this time. She has never been arrested or had conflicts with the law, been convicted of a felony, been accused and/or convicted of child abuse or spousal abuse, lost custody of a child, been in a substance abuse program, or declared bankruptcy.
Anicia has no preference in the family she carries for. She is open to being a surrogate for a family that lives outside of the USA. She is willing to match with someone of different religious beliefs. She is not willing to give up pork or beef products during the journey based on someone's religious beliefs. Anicia stated that she wants to become a surrogate because she knows what it feels like to be a mom and love her children and she wants to help another family experience that same joy. Anicia is a first time surrogate, whose sister is also doing her first journey with Await. They will be a great support system for each other.
Anicia is willing to terminate the pregnancy for any reason that the Intended Parents choose except if it is triplets. She will only do a selective reduction if it is a health issue. She is willing to have an amniocentesis done. She is willing to carry twins and triplets if they happen naturally. She is willing to transfer more than one embryo at a time. She is comfortable with the Intended Parents taking pictures during this journey. She is comfortable with the intended parents being at doctors appointments, and is comfortable with the Intended Mother being in the delivery room. She states that she is open to as much communication as the Intended Parents need and said that she would love to continue contact after birth if the Intended Parents feel the same way but does not have to have it.
Anicia has received the flu vaccine and has received the Pfizer Covid vaccine.
