About Jamie
Jamie is a 24 year old engaged, Caucasian female who is hoping to become a surrogate. Jamie lives in Catawba, North Carolina with her fiance, Mickey, and their son and Mickey’s daughter from a previous relationship. Jamie will be adopting her once they are legally married.
Jamie is 5’5’ and weighs 180 pounds. She speaks English and is a US Citizen. Jamie is also fluent in American Sign Language. Mickey’s daughter is Deaf and ASL is used in the home as well. Jamie describes herself as outdoorsy. She loves to go fishing, ride 4-wheelers, and be with her family. She is shy and does not like to be the center of attention. Jamie stated that she opens up once she gets to know someone.
Jamie does not have surrogacy friendly insurance. A policy will need to be purchased for her to cover a surrogacy pregnancy.
Jamie graduated from Draughn High School in 2018. She took some college classes but did not finish a degree. She wants to pursue a degree in the future but is unsure in what field.
Jamie is a pre-k teacher. She has been doing this job for the last 4 years. She works 40 hours a week and makes $15 an hour. Mickey is a semitruck driver. He makes $1500 a week.
Jamie has never been a surrogate and has never donated eggs. Jamie has had one pregnancy and has never had an abortion or a miscarriage. She has never placed a child for adoption and has no deceased children. Jamie's son was born on July 18, 2022. He weighed 8 pounds 1 ounces and was born at 39 weeks. His delivery was a vaginal delivery. Jamie and Mickey have custody of their children and the children do not have any physical health problems. Her children do not have any psychological or behavioral problems. Jamie has never gone through fertility treatments to become pregnant. She has never delivered a stillborn baby. Jamie is not currently breastfeeding.
Jamie does not have regular menstrual cycles while on the patch birth control.. Jamie states that her mother did not take diethylstilbestrol (DES) while pregnant to the best of her knowledge.
Jamie’s pap smear is scheduled for August 20, 2025. She has never had an abnormal pap smear. Jamie has been tested for HIV with regular pap smears. Jamie has suffered from depression after the death of her grandmother. She was prescribed psychiatric medication but is no longer on any medications. Jamie has never seen a mental health professional. Jamie did have a sphincterotomy in October 2024. She is allergic to Codeine and Iodine.
Jamie nor Mickey smoke cigarettes or use any smokeless tobacco. Jamie denies any drug use. Jamie has never used any illegal drugs. Neither Jamie or Mickey have ever been diagnosed with any of the following: gonorrhea, hepatitis C, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, herpes, genital warts/sores, or anemia. Jamie does not exercise daily and has never had an eating disorder. She states that she does not drink alcohol.
Jamie nor Mickey have any legal claims/cases pending at this time. Neither have been arrested or have had conflicts with the law, been convicted of a felony, been accused and/or convicted of child abuse or spousal abuse, lost custody of a child, been in a substance abuse program, or declared bankruptcy.
Jamie has discussed becoming a surrogate with Mickey and family members and states that her fiance will support her during her pregnancy. Jamie has no concerns about sharing her surrogacy journey with her children and Jamie states that there isn’t anyone that she is aware of that is against her desire to become a surrogate.
Jamie states that she will use the money she receives from being a surrogate to pay off debt and to invest in savings.
Jamie has no preference in the family she will carry for. Jamie is open to carrying for a family that lives outside of the USA. Jamie is willing to give up pork or beef products during the journey due to the Intended Parents religious beliefs. Jamie states that she wants to become a surrogate after watching her brother and sister in law go through IVF to grow their family. She wants to help other families who are struggling to have a baby.
Jaime is willing to have an abortion, selective reduction, or termination for any reason the Intended Parents choose. Jamie states that she is ok with the intended parents being in the room and being at the hospital. She would love as much contact as possible with the intended parents and would love for them to be involved. Jamie is open to the intended parents joining her at doctor appointments (in person if local and via Zoom or Facetime if not able to make it in person) and taking pictures throughout their journey together. She is open to communication after delivery as well.
