Martha is not willing to get the flu vaccine. She has received the Covid vaccine but will not get anymore. 

About Martha

Martha is a 39 year old, Hispanic female who has no preference for the heterosexual couple she will carry for. Martha lives in St. Indio, California with her husband Alberto “Albert” and their three children.

Martha is 5’4” and weighs 195 pounds and has a BMI of 33.5. She speaks English and Spanish and is a US Citizen. Martha describes herself as goofy and a little shy at first but once she opens up she loves to talk. She enjoys going to the beach, festivals, spending time with her children and taking care of her mom who is blind. 

Martha has insurance that is not surrogacy friendly. A policy will need to be purchased for her to cover the surrogacy journey. 

Martha works in a school cafeteria. She is also a home health caregiver. Martha works 25 hours a week in the school cafeteria and makes $20 an hour. She works 22 hours a week as a home health caregiver and makes $18 an hour. Her husband Alberto works in maintenance at the school district and makes $31.42 an hour 

Martha graduated from Coachella Valley Adult School in 2021 with her diploma. She did not attend any college and does not have any plans on pursuing any degrees currently

Martha has been a surrogate one time and got pregnant on the first transfer attempt. She has never donated eggs. Martha has had five pregnancies and has never had a miscarriage. She did have an abortion 20 years ago at 4 weeks pregnant. Martha has never placed a child for adoption and does not have any deceased children. Her first child, a daughter, was born July 9, 2011. She weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces and was born at 40weeks. Her second child, another daughter, was born on September 8, 2013. She weighed 7 pounds and 4 ounces and was born at 40 weeks. Her last child, a son, was born May 16, 2016. He weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and was born at 40 weeks. She was a surrogate in 2024 and delivered a surrogate baby boy. He was born on October 15, 2024 and delivered at 39 weeks gestation. He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces.. All four deliveries were vaginal deliveries. Martha stated that there were no complications with any of the pregnancies or deliveries. Martha and Alberto have custody of all three children. All of the children are healthy with no psychological or behavioral problems. Martha is not breastfeeding and has gone through fertility treatments to become pregnant during the surrogacy journey. Martha plans to see Dr Rekuc, Caring for Women OBGYN during the pregnancy and deliver at John F Kennedy Hospital.

Martha has a regular menstrual cycle that lasts for 4-6 days. Martha is currently taking birth control pills. Martha states that her mother did not take diethylstilbestrol (DES) while pregnant with her to the best of her knowledge.

Martha’s last pap smear was conducted in February 2023 and was normal. Martha has never had an abnormal pap smear. She has never been treated for HIV/AIDS. Martha has never suffered from depression. Martha has seen a psychologist or psychiatrist through her last surrogacy journey. Martha has never been prescribed any psychiatric medications. 

Martha does not smoke cigarettes or use any smokeless tobacco. Martha does not drink alcohol. Martha denies any drug use. Martha has never used any illegal drugs. Martha has never been diagnosed with any of the following hepatitis C, HIV, hepatitis B, herpes, genital warts/sores, gonorrhea or syphilis.

Martha nor Alberto do not have any legal claims/cases pending at this time. She has never been arrested or had conflicts with the law, been convicted of a felony, been accused and/or convicted of child abuse or spousal abuse, lost custody of a child, been in a substance abuse program. Neither Martha nor Alberto have filed for bankruptcy. 

Martha has discussed becoming a surrogate again with Alberto, her friends, and family members and has a great support system. Martha has no concerns about sharing her surrogacy journey with her children. Martha states that there isn’t anyone that she is aware of that is against her desire to become a surrogate. 

Martha has no preference in the heterosexual couple she carries for. She said that she is willing to be a surrogate for a family that lives outside of the USA. Martha is not willing to give up pork and beef products through the journey for a family's religious beliefs. Martha stated that she wants to help another family have their miracle baby. Martha stated during her surrogacy delivery that seeing her intended mother hold her baby for the first time was magic and she couldn't wait to experience that again!

Martha is willing to have selective reduction or an abortion only if her life is in danger, the baby is missing vital organs and will not live past delivery or if the baby has a genetic disorder that will not allow them to live past delivery. She is willing to carry twins and triplets as long as it happens naturally but she is not willing to transfer more than one embryo at a time. She is comfortable with the Intended Parents taking pictures during this journey. She is comfortable with the intended parents being at doctor’s appointments, and being in the delivery room. Martha stated that she would like to have contact throughout the journey and form a relationship with the family especially the intended mother.. She states that she would like contact after birth if the Intended Parents want the same

Martha is not willing to receive the flu vaccine. Martha has received the covid vaccine but is not willing to receive any boosters.
