From Amanda:

Pregnancy has been both a blessing and a time of deep loss in my life. When I was pregnant with my oldest son, I learned that my mom had terminal lung cancer. Later, while carrying my daughter, we found out my dad had leukemia. My pregnancies have always been surrounded by love, but also by grief.

Through those experiences, and through walking beside close friends who have endured miscarriages and stillbirths, I’ve come to understand just how precious and fragile the gift of life is.

I want to be a source of hope for a family who is longing for a child. Surrogacy feels like a way to honor my parents, the losses I’ve witnessed, and the gratitude I hold for my own children. Giving another family the chance to experience the joy of parenthood is the legacy I want to help create.
