About Camilla

Camilla is a 35 year old white female who is hoping to become a surrogate. Camilla lives in Cherokee County, South Carolina with her husband, Brandon, and their three children. The closest airport is Charlotte International Airport.

Camilla is 5’8” and weighs 189 pounds and has a BMI of 28. She speaks English and is a US Citizen. Camilla says she is shy until she gets to know someone and they are a super active family. She and her husband coach children’s baseball and wrestling and love lake life.

Camilla has Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthcare insurance through the Marketplace and we will be sending it off to IFI for assessment.

Camilla is a stay at home mom and will not be requiring lost wages. Her husband owns his own steel business and will be requesting lost wages for things like medical screening, embryo transfer, birth, etc.

Camilla graduated from High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 2009. She then graduated with her bachelors of Nursing in 2013.

Camilla has never been a surrogate and has never donated eggs. Camilla has had four pregnancies and has never had an abortion or a miscarriage and has never placed a child for adoption. Camilla reports that she has had easy pregnancies with all of her children. Her first child was born on 4/14/2016 via c-section after a very long stalled labor. The child weighed  10 pounds 4 ounces at 41+ weeks. Her second child was born on 9/26/2017 at 42 weeks via VBAC weighing 10 pounds 2 ounces. Her daughter was born vaginally on 5/27/2022 at 40 weeks and 1 day, weighing 9 pounds 12 ounces. During the planned home birth, the certified nurse-midwife mismanaged the birth and failed to provide appropriate medical care for the newborn. As a result, the baby suffered a hypoxic brain injury. After 11 days on life support, Camilla and Brandon made the heartbreaking decision to withdraw life-sustaining treatment. Following investigations by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR), the midwife was found to have committed gross negligence and ultimately lost both her midwifery certification and her South Carolina license to practice medicine. The family also obtained a civil judgment related to the incident. Their fourth baby was born vaginally on 12/31/2023 at 40+1 weeks weighing 8 pounds 9 ounces. This was a repeat homebirth with a new midwife who Camilla adores. Camilla denies any pregnancy or delivery complications. Brandon and Camilla have custody of all of their children. The children do not have any physical health problems, any psychological or behavioral problems. Camilla has never gone through fertility treatment to become pregnant. She has never delivered a stillborn baby.

Camilla does have regular menstrual cycles. Her cycles are approximately 28 days apart and last for 5 days on average.

Camilla’s last pap smear was conducted in July 2025 and was normal. She has never had an abnormal pap. She has never been treated for HIV/AIDS or any STD. Camilla was never diagnosed with depression of any kind. Camilla was placed on an antidepressant for 6 months, following the traumatic death of her daughter as a prophylactic measure. Camilla has only been hospitalized for an esophagus injury after birth due to some intense vomiting which resolved itself, a breast augmentation at 18 and the removal of such later on. Her blood type is B+.

Camilla does not smoke cigarettes or use any smokeless tobacco. She denies any drug use and has never used any illegal drugs. Neither Camilla nor her husband Barndon have ever been diagnosed with any of the following: gonorrhea, hepatitis C, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, herpes, genital warts/sores, or anemia. Camilla is extremely active and has never had an eating disorder.

Neither Camilla nor her husband have any legal claims/cases pending at this time. Neither have been arrested or had conflicts with the law, been convicted of a felony, been accused and/or convicted of child abuse or spousal abuse, lost custody of a child, been in a substance abuse program, or declared bankruptcy.

Camilla has discussed becoming a surrogate with her husband, friends, and family members and has a great support system. Camilla has no concerns about sharing her surrogacy journey with her children and she states that there isn’t anyone that she is aware of that is against her desire to become a surrogate. Camilla mentions that her husband was diagnosed with male infertility years ago and they feel so lucky that they were able to get pregnant without intervention. She is also very open about the loss of their daughter and thinks this will make her connection with Intended Parents so much stronger.

Camilla plans to save the money she earns from being a surrogate.

Camilla is open to carrying for a heterosexual married couple, a family of any race or religion, and a family with children or without children. Camilla explains that a friend had asked her to carry for her but was never able to create viable embryos so she is excited to help a family in need.

Camilla is ok with having selective reduction for any reason and believes that it is up to the intended parents to make that decision. Camilla is ok with an amniocentesis if deemed necessary by a doctor. Camilla is very supportive of the intended parents being as involved as they would like throughout the pregnancy, labor, and delivery. She welcomes them to be present for the birth and at the hospital or birth setting so they can begin caring for and bonding with their baby immediately. She prefers to receive the majority of her prenatal care from her certified nurse-midwife, with care co-managed by an obstetric provider as recommended by the fertility clinic and delivery plan. She would like her midwife to be present at the birth, but not necessarily as the primary birth provider, and is comfortable with her serving in a supportive role. Camilla hopes to continue her postpartum care with her midwife. She is open to a home birth, birth center birth, or hospital birth, depending on the wishes of the intended parents, medical recommendations, and what is safest for the pregnancy. She is also happy to maintain communication with the intended parents after delivery if that is something they desire.
