asymmetric IUGR- meaning head and brain growing normally and torso smaller than expected. However, she went to 39 weeks 1 day and the baby was 6lb. 10 oz. Looking through all prenatal records, every visit was normal until 1/9/24, at that time they said asymmetric IUGR. She went to 1/23/24 and they induced.

About Elaysha
Elaysha is a 24 year old black female who is hoping to become a surrogate. Elaysha lives in Barnwell County, South Carolina with her son. The closest airport is Augusta Airport.
Elaysha is 5’7” and weighs 144 pounds and has a BMI of 22. She speaks English and is a US Citizen. Elaysha is a caring, funny, kind person who loves anything to do with braiding hair.
Elaysha does not currently have health insurance and will need an ACA policy purchased for her.
Elaysha is self-employed and works full time as a hairdresser. She typically works 40 hours per week. She makes approximately $900 per week.
Elaysha graduated from High School in Williston, South Carolina in 2020. She has 6 months of classes left to complete her cosmetology program which she hopes to be able to do soon.
Elaysha has never been a surrogate and has never donated eggs. She has had one pregnancy and has never had an abortion or a miscarriage. Elaysha has never placed a child for adoption and does not have any deceased children. She reports that she had a very easy pregnancy with her son who was born vaginally. He was born on 1/23/24 at 39 weeks weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces . Elaysha denies any pregnancy or delivery complications. She has full custody of her son. He has no physical, psychological, or behavioral problems. Elaysha has never gone through fertility treatment to become pregnant. She has never delivered a stillborn baby.
Elaysha does have regular menstrual cycles. Her cycles are approximately 28 days apart and last for 4 days on average.
Elaysha’s last pap smear was conducted in January 2026 and was normal. She has never had an abnormal pap. She has never been treated for HIV/AIDS. She did have Chlamydia in 2016 which was immediately treated. Elaysha has never suffered from depression and has never been prescribed psychiatric medications. Elaysha has only been hospitalized for the birth of her child. Her blood type is unknown.
Elaysha does not smoke cigarettes or use any smokeless tobacco. She denies any drug use and has never used any illegal drugs. Elaysha has never been diagnosed with any of the following: gonorrhea, hepatitis C, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, herpes, genital warts/sores, or anemia. Elaysha is very active and has never had an eating disorder.
Elaysha does not have any legal claims/cases pending at this time. She has not been arrested or had conflicts with the law, been convicted of a felony, been accused and/or convicted of child abuse or spousal abuse, lost custody of a child, been in a substance abuse program, or declared bankruptcy.
Elaysha has discussed becoming a surrogate with her friends, and family members and has a great support system. She has no concerns about sharing her surrogacy journey with her child and states that there isn’t anyone that she is aware of that is against her desire to become a surrogate.
Elaysha plans to save the money she earns from being a surrogate, pay off her car, and expand her business.
Elaysha is very open to whom she is willing to carry for. She is open to carrying for a heterosexual couple, homosexual couple, a family of any race, and a family with children or without children, Christian, non-Christian, and single parents. Elaysha states that she has no desire to have any more children herself but loves being pregnant and remembers wanting to be a surrogate for a sling as she can remember.
Elaysha is ok with having selective reduction for any medical required reason in the case of multiples. Elaysha will leave all termination rights to the IPs but will not abort for cosmetic reasons. Elaysha is ok with an amniocentesis if deemed necessary by a doctor. She states that she is ok with the intended parents being in the room and being at the hospital so they can take custody of the baby as soon as he/she is born. She would like to receive periodical photo updates after delivery. Elaysha is open to the intended parents joining her at doctor appointments (in person if local and via Zoom or Facetime if not able to make it in person) and taking pictures throughout their journey together.
