About Melissa
Melissa is a 36 year old, married, Caucasian female who would be open to carrying for a heterosexual couple or single person. Melissa lives in Woodruff, South Carolina with her husband, Andrew, and three children.
Melissa is 5’5” and weighs 120 pounds and has a BMI of 20. She speaks English and is a US Citizen. Melissa describes herself as introverted and quiet. All of her hobbies include Disney or her dogs and kids. They go to Disney about 1-2 times a year and loves to run in the Disney Races!
Melissa does have insurance through her employer, including Short Term Disability. We will have to send it off for review to see if it is surrogacy friendly.
Melissa is a Pharmacist. She has been employed with them for 12 years and works 36 hours a week. She makes $67.00 an hour. Her husband is a Business Analyst and makes about $40.00 an hour.
Melissa graduated from Stoney Creek High School in 2008. She later attended Albany College of Pharmacy and obtained a Pharmacist Degree.
Melissa has had three pregnancies and has never had an abortion or a miscarriage. Melissa, nor her husband have never placed a child for adoption and does not have any deceased children. Her first child, a daughter, was born 03/26/2022. She weighed 8 pounds and 12 ounces and was born at 39 weeks. Her second child, a son, was born on 10/19/2023. He weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces and was born at 34 weeks, due to her water breaking early. Her last child, another son, was born on 07/29/2025. He weighed 6 pounds and 15 ounces and was born at 37 weeks. All of her deliveries were vaginal deliveries. Melissa stated that there were no complications during her pregnancies. Melissa and her husband Andrew have custody of all three children. All three children are healthy with no psychological or behavioral problems. Melissa is not breastfeeding and has never gone through fertility treatments to become pregnant.
Melissa has a regular menstrual cycle. Melissa states that her mother did not take diethylstilbestrol (DES) while pregnant with her to the best of her knowledge.
Melissaʻs last pap was 12/15/24 and it was normal. She has an updated pap scheduled for 9/28/26. She has never been treated for HIV/AIDS. Melissa has never suffered from depression. Melissa has never been prescribed any psychiatric medications. Melissa has only been hospitalized for childbirth. She has never had any surgeries.
Melissa, nor her husband does not smoke cigarettes, vape, or use any smokeless tobacco. Melissa, nor her husband, does not drink alcohol. Melissa denies any drug use. Melissa has never used any illegal drugs. Melissa, nor her husband have never been diagnosed with any of the following: HPV, HSV, hepatitis C, HIV, hepatitis B, herpes, genital warts/sores, chlamydia, gonorrhea, or syphilis.
Melissa, nor her husband does not have any legal claims/cases pending at this time. They have never been arrested or had conflicts with the law, been convicted of a felony, been accused and/or convicted of child abuse or spousal abuse, lost custody of a child, been in a substance abuse program. Melissa, nor her husband have never filed for bankruptcy.
Melissa has discussed becoming a surrogate with her friends and family members and has a great support system. Melissa has no concerns about sharing her surrogacy journey with her children, besides how to tell her oldest that the baby is not theirs to keep, but will navigate that when the time comes. Melissa states that there isn’t anyone that she is aware of that is against her desire to become a surrogate.
Melissa is open to carrying for a heterosexual couple, with or without children and a single heterosexual person. She is open to being a surrogate for a family that lives outside of the USA. She is willing to match with someone of different religious beliefs. She is willing to give up pork or beef products during the journey based on someone's religious beliefs. Melissa stated that she wants to become a surrogate because “she has had easy pregnancies and enjoys being pregnant. She is done having her own kids and has plenty of good years left in her to help other families.”
Melissa is willing to terminate the pregnancy for any reason that the Intended Parents choose. She is willing to have an amniocentesis done. She is willing to carry twins and triplets if they happen naturally. She is willing to transfer more than one embryo at a time. She is comfortable with the Intended Parents taking pictures during this journey. She is comfortable with the intended parents being at doctors appointments, and is comfortable with Intended Parents being in the delivery room. She states that she is open to as much communication as the Intended Parents want and need. Melissa said that she would want post- birth communication if the Intended Parents are okay with that.
She has received the flu vaccine and the first Covid vaccine. She is willing to receive any vaccinations needed, besides the Covid Booster.
